De Pelgrimage (Multi-Day Retreat)
A pilgrimage in which we try to celebrate the beauty of communal life in silence, song, nature and prayer.
Just before the leaves slowly say goodbye to their safe bond with the tree and Autumn makes its appearance, we organize a beautiful manifestation in the last, warm glow of Summer, a five-day hike called 'De Pelgrimage'. In the late summer of 2024, Sacha Post and Sven Signe will organize a joint trip in a small group along a beautiful pilgrim path in the Netherlands. In both of them there is a dream to walk for the things they believe in, knowing that we never make the pass alone but always for the greater good of the world. To share together the joys of a walk so that with each step we invite ourselves to reflect on the dreams and actions that can make life better for everyone.
“Faith is not the clinging to a shrine but an endless pilgrimage of the heart.” — Abraham Joshua Heschel
The week has a varied program but fixed core values in which we try to celebrate the beauty of communal life in silence, song, nature and prayer. We start the days with a joint meditation, a simple meal and a sharing round before taking a longer walk in silence towards the destination for the day. During this journey we will stay for two days in the beautiful monastery of Koningshoeven Abbey where we can get a taste of the rhythm of prayer before we continue our journey in this internally acquired silence. The other days we will spend the night at a natural campsite where we will organize beautiful evening sessions, cook together, share experiences and sing together.
Prior to the week we organize an introductory day where we will tell you more about the concept of the tour, share the route (partly) and provide practical guidelines for the upcoming hike.
