sven signe is dedicated to practicing and spreading what he calls “walking in love”. As a lover, artist, and pilgrim, he takes up residence in the house of love as an eternal student in the medium of love. Far beyond the views of the arts, far beyond the forms and definitions, far beyond the frameworks of religions, sven tries to spread the same timeless message, which has been proclaimed by many since the beginning of time, about life in and from love.
“The search for meaning is inherent in everyone's life. There is a narrow sandy path for all of us in which we walk at our own pace, in a direction determined by life, to a place in which he or she can be of significance to the world and therefore to himself.”
The question that has sent sven on his “winding sandy path” — which is the mythopoetic designation that sven uses for the life path that everyone takes towards unraveling (or remembering) the innate role that he has in life — is the same essential question that lies within us all: “Who am I?” It is this question that gave birth to being able to discover the innate answer for what it is that he has to do and give here. After years of personal study and spiritual practice, the calling for his life was revealed to him, an invitation so dear and yet so universal that it makes you bow in view of its simplicity, namely, to 'walk in love', to shine love on the world.
sven's true and only work of art is his dedication to this calling, to his life's work, which is walking in love; learning what it means to live in service and devotion to love. The metaphor for “walking” speaks to the conscious practice of all of that in our experience; in every individual moment and with every action, we learn to love this, which ultimately makes our entire life an expression of love with every step. To be able to encounter life anew every day and with every step, with every breath, and with every word, to pay tribute to every being, every moment, every emotion, and every sensation. For him, these are all actions that are in the service of love and it is a lifelong study of the heart of love. In this, any form of distinction and distinction with regard to the forms of expression has disappeared and everything has become part of his 'sadhana' and a way of performing 'seva' (spiritual service). All indications are merely words, expressions, or forms that all originate from one and the same path of life in which everything is a practice in the service of its unique role in the greater whole. It is this practice that sven places at the core of his spirituality, art, and teachings in which he seeks to answer what he sees as life's perpetual invitation, to embrace ourselves in love with every step in the entire walk of life.
Sven shares his vision on how to live life in love through reflections, retreats, or gatherings or in the many artistic expressions in which he expresses his being. Sven is inspired by many wisdom traditions, religions, and dear teachers, all of which he says: “A unique color on the same rainbow originating from and on its way to the same light”.
When Sven is not wandering the world, he lives a secluded life, together with his wife Nina Elise, their son Elaia and, their many animal children in the South of France.
