De Zomerviering (Multi-Day Retreat)
A week where we enjoy the joys of community, being together in the forest, playing, creating as well as singing beautiful songs.
In the Summer of 2024, Eva Driessen and Sven Signe will organize a multi-day retreat entitled ‘De Zomerviering’, a kind of accessible school camp for life students intended to simply reflect on how wonderful it is to be alive. A week where we enjoy the joys of community, being together in the forest, playing, creating as well as singing beautiful songs. We celebrate humanity in its entirety, in which all tears are welcome, of sadness and happiness, we meet each other in play, in song but also, in silence. We speak from our hearts and enjoy wonderful (plant-based) food that we prepare together.
Impression of a day during ‘De Zomerviering’:
“In the morning we are awakened by the birds or by the cheerful melody of a nearby musician, we open the day together in the silence of the dawn. You smell the scent of the resin of the trees, you feel the dew and your nervous system relaxes by being so close to the trees. We guide sessions of bodywork and meditation before we eat the meal and start with a sharing circle. There is then plenty of time to go for a walk, draw, read or make music, and during the day there is the opportunity to attend sessions. In the evening we cook, share the meal, gather around the fire and sing for life!”
During this week we meet in a picturesque forest house located in lush forest in the middle of the Veluwe. We sleep under the open air or set up our tents with the sound of the crackling campfire in the background. We live in community this week, which also means that we take care of the place and the meals together. The days offer plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful forest, read a book, write or draw, which we alternate with group sessions, including yoga and meditation sessions, creative workshops and games, lectures and silent walks and, of course, plenty of space for making music.

What to expect?
We meet in an exceptionally quiet, beautiful place in the forest, surrounded by passing deer and countless birds.
Sleeping in the forest, in your tent, caravan, camper or under the open sky with the stars.
A varying and daily program, including yoga and meditation sessions.
The opportunity to celebrate life in community, where silence and song alternate.
